Little things that bring me joy

 Hello again my loves. I’ve missed you. Today I was sitting listening to the rain hitting the windows and it made me realise how there are so many small and simple things in life that bring me joy so I thought I’d share them with you now. 

Rain and Thunderstorms

Recently where we live the weather has been rather miserable and we’ve had a couple of storms. However, I might not like going out in bad weather but I love it when I’m staying indoors! Listening to the thunder and the rain hit the windows with a hot drink in my hands, wrapped up in an cosy blanket and my favourite movie or tv show on brings me so much joy. I love the comfy cosy feeling of it all. I also find that it helps me go to sleep! Sometimes if we don’t have any rain or storms I play the sounds of it on my Calm app or on YouTube to help me sleep or even concentrate if I’m working. I love watching the rain hit the windows or bounce off the pavements and roads and I love how clear the air feels after a storm. Oh and rainbows too of course!

A cosy coffee shop

I suppose this kind of ties in with the rain and Thunderstorms as I love a coffee shop. Especially when you can find a cosy quiet nook in the corner to watch the world go by or watch the rain fall through the windows. I don’t know about you guys but I loooooove the smell of coffee. I actually recently had a coffee scented reed diffuser and it made my room smell amazing! Alone or with friends coffee shops are one of my favourite things. PS. Is anyone else excited for Autumn AKA Pumpkin Spice season because I certainly am! 

Comfort TV shows

I guess a lot of you will share this joy with me but there’s nothing like putting on your favourite show. Especially if you’re having a rough time and need some comfort. My main favourites are Friends and Gilmore Girls. I think I can recite them both word for word at this point but I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of watching them over and over again. I’m currently on my millionth rewatch of Friends! Me and Dad have recently been watching some British classic comedies too like ; My Family, Are You Being Served? and Open All Hours. You guys will have to give me some recommendations and tell me what your comfort shows are. Let’s see if I can learn another show word for word!
