Rest is productive.
Hello my love. How are you? Has anyone told you that you're beautiful today? Consider this as me telling you. You all might have noticed that I've been a bit quieter on Social Media recently and I've been discussing my mental health a lot more. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, if a doctor told you to rest because you had a broken leg then you'd rest wouldn't you? Well I'm here to remind you that rest is productive. In order for you to be your best self you need that rest.
It's ok to be selfish. I don't mean selfish in the traditional sense but in the taking time out for yourself sense. Go out for that walk, go to the coffee shop, watch your favourite movie. Whatever it takes for you to be happy and take time for YOU. Do it. I spend a lot of my time caring for others and only over the last couple of weeks have I realised just how important me time is. I need time to just be Laura. Please promise me that you'll never ever feel guilty for setting boundaries and even reminding others that you need to rest. It's also ok to cry. Crying doesn't make you weak, it makes you strong and brave. Sometimes all of those emotions build up inside us and we need some way to release them.
I've spent many nights in tears recently and I'm not gonna lie it's been so hard but don't you ever let anyone tell you to stop crying or stop being emotional. I wanted to share this quote that I came across recently with you. It's by Charlie Mackesy the author of The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The horse.
