Haircare mistakes you might be making
Hello again you lovely lot! I'm back with another blog post. It's not like me to be back so soon I know but I had the motivation to write another post. This post will be a similar style to my previous beauty and skincare mistakes post. Enjoy!
Going to bed with your hair wet.
Your hair is at its most fragile when wet so if you go to sleep with it wet then toss and turn against your pillow it can cause breakage. Going to bed with wet hair can also lead to scalp infections as well as causing bacteria to grow on your pillow.
Not using heat protection spray.
Heat protection spray can save your hair from so much damage! Oh and it can also help to tame any frizz which allows your hair to look smooth and soft and make it easier to style. My favourite heat protection spray is the L'oréal Elvive Dream Lengths Heat Slayer as it leaves my hair feeling super soft and nourished. You should be using heat protection spray before you use any heat whether it be the hair dryer, straighteners, curlers etc.
Going to bed with your hair tied up too tightly.
This can also cause breakage and damage when you're sleeping, not to mention the headaches! I do sleep with my hair tied up as I can't stand the feeling of it in my face plus if I don't tie it up I wake up looking like I've had my fingers in a socket but I wear it in a low and loose ponytail. Low and loose hairstyles are the best for sleeping in.
I hope that you all found this post useful and if there's anything else you'd like me to write a post about then don't hesitate to send me a DM. See you soon!
