Frozen London

Hello my loves! It’s been a while since my last post I know! I do have quite a few more posts planned to make up for it though! Anyway, as you will have probably seen on my Instagram I went to see Frozen in London recently so I just wanted to tell you all about it!

On Saturday morning (11th September) me and Mam got on a train and headed down to London. We had a lovely train journey and it was so nice to chat with Mam all the way there, I love that my Mam is my best friend! Once we got to London we got a taxi to our hotel which was the St Giles hotel, we dropped off our bags as there was still a while before we could check in and we headed out for some food. We had Pizza Hut which is one of our favourites! It was hilarious getting there and back, I used the Sat Nav on my phone and set it to walk as the nearest Pizza hut was only ten minutes away. It took us down so many different random streets though, we spent a lot of time turning round as I had read the Sat Nav wrong. Oops. Once we had finished eating we headed back to the hotel to check in and get ready.

Gotta be real with you, the hotel wasn’t great. The room was probably one of the furthest away from the reception and it took ages to get a lift as some of them were out of order and the hotel had 6 or 7 floors I think. We booked a twin room which is what we got but it was very small and cramped plus my mattress had a delve in it so it was very uncomfortable. Also the room was very dusty and very hot plus some of the sockets were unsafe. Breakfast was included which was an all you can eat full English/ continental style breakfast which wasn’t too bad. I wouldn’t stay at that hotel again though. We booked it online through a theatre breaks site so it meant we could book the train, hotel and theatre all in one place. We checked out of the hotel early the next morning, I was sad we didn’t spend much time in London but glad to go home as I wasn’t feeling great after a poor nights sleep.

Now, onto the best part; Frozen. Oh. My. Goodness. It was absolutely breathtaking. Even just walking into the theatre and seeing all of the costumes in the glass cases made me emotional! The show was amazing. The talent of every single cast member was out of this world. Anna and Elsa were phenomenal! Olaf was adorable and so clever the way the puppet worked as was Sven! Oh and of course Kristoff was amazing too as was everyone! I laughed, cried and smiled through the whole show. I love that there were other songs as well as the songs from the movie. The orchestra were beautiful as were the voices of every single cast member. I would definitely go and see it again, in fact I probably will go and see it again! It felt so surreal being back in a theatre again, it was the furthest I had been away from home for almost two years. It was so nice to feel 'normal' again. I mean yes we still wore masks etc. but it was so nice to be amongst a crowd and to see everyone so happy to just be there. I got very emotional at the end during the curtain call as every single member of the audience stood up to cheer, that moment was pure magic. Oh I almost forgot, we got some merchandise too. The shop had so many amazing things! I've attached a picture below of everything we bought. Oh, there's also a face mask in the photo which I didn't buy there but I couldn't resist putting it in the picture! It's from a small shop on Easy called 'Handmade Heart Ears', it was really comfortable and it looked so beautiful especially when it caught the light. I love how the light blue gave a subtle nod to Frozen. I've also attached a picture of me wearing it. Oh and the link to the shop is: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/HandmadeHeartShop

Thank you all so much for reading, it's lovely to be writing blog posts again! I do have some more posts planned as well as some more theatre trips which I will also write about.
