Skincare favourites

So earlier this week I did an instagram poll asking what you guys wanted this weeks post to be about and the majority votes were skincare faves. So here we go my lovelies! As you lot all probably know already I suffer from eczema and my skin is quite dry and sensitive as well as sometimes oily. There are three different skin types when we are looking at skincare; dry, oily and combination. My skin is combination as its dry in a lot of areas but can be quite oily in my T zone (up the nose and along the forehead as it looks like a T). I have found that all of these products work really well for my skin type and they have minimal perfumes and chemicals making them gentle on skin.

The garnier micellar cleansing water and gel wash. These are amazing! I can’t get enough of them! The water is a lovely quick fix for removing makeup and cleansing the skin and the gel wash also removes makeup but it feels a lot more cleansing and nourishing. I like to apply it to my face to remove makeup then gently rinse with warm water using a muslin cloth.

Another favourite of mine is the Aveeno products. They have a wide range of producs that can be used on the hands, face and body as skin care isn’t just all about the face. I also suffer from very dry and very sore hands which can be painful when writing and typing a lot. Im loving this hamd cream from Aveeno and I always have a tube beside my bed and in my handbag for on the go and for on holiday.

Simple make some gorgeous skincare products including cleansers, moisturisers and wipes which are all very natural. No chemicals or perfumes. As you can see this product is nearly empty becuase I love it so much! I pump a little of this on my hand then rub it in circular motions on the face before rinsing with warm water and a soft flannel or muslin cloth. Its very moisturising as well as cleansing for the pores getting rid of makeup and any other impurities.

I found these lovely face masks in Primark from their Holler and Glow range. My favourite is the rose gold as it leaves the skin glowing. These face masks are peel off so they set kind of like rubber and you pull them off taking all of those impurities with it.

Another Garnier product I love is their cleansing milk. They have different kinds but my favourite is the rose water. It really soothes your sensitive skin after a long day and its lovely to put on after you’ve exfoliated or cleansed to help to calm and soothe the skin.

The Loreal hydra genius has been one of my favourite products of 2017 I'm sure it will continue to be throughout 2018. Some moisturisers I find are quite heavy and sticky making your skin feel a little claggy. However, this has more of a watery gel like consistency making it light and soft on skin.

Another Garnier product is this Gel moisturiser. Again its very light on the skin which I really like as it soaks in pretty quickly without leaving your skin feeling greasy or claggy. This makes the skin so soft and works very quickly.

Finally we have the Loreal fine flowers toner. I have tried a lot of toners and many of them have made my skin very red and sore and I sometimes am left with a stinging and burning sensation but this doesn’t do that. It makes you feel very refreshed and does not feel rough at all. The packaging is so pretty too!

Thank you all so much for reading my lovelies! I hope this was of some help to you if you are struggling with skin care or are simply curious to see what other products are out there that you haven't tried yet! See you all next week!! Thank you all so much for you kind messages this week and come to my instagram where I sometimes do live streams involving hauls or just general life chats. Again, thank you all so much lovelies! Laura x
